INCIDENT AT THE THREE JOLLY BARGEMEN HAS LOCAL BOY IN SHOCK

After Pip was through learning all he could from Biddy, he decided to meet up with Joe at their local bar, the Three Jolly Bargemen. Upon arriving, he saw Joe sharing drinks with Mr. Wopsle and a stranger whom he did not recognize.

The first thing Pip noticed about this unknown man was that he was stirring his rum with… a file, the same file Pip believed he gave to the escaped convict in the marshes. All the while the man seemed focused on no one else except Pip, and showed only Pip the file.

Ending the night with a bang, the stranger handed Pip two one pound notes, a significant amount of money to anyone. Such a mysterious and vague moment in his life would also yield the most generous gift for Pip, and is something that sources say foreshadow a much larger twist in Pip’s life.
